Stream Launches Order with Google
We're incredibly excited to announce that Stream has officially launched a direct integration with Google. This provides a new channel for restaurants to receive pickup and delivery orders seamlessly to their POS. Without disrupting current operations or adding new hardware, a restaurant can sign up with Stream x Order with Google within 30 minutes and have an up-to-date menu that allows customers to order directly through Google Search or Maps.
Stream Co-founder Tim Rothwell is "excited to launch a seamless ordering experience for our customers, powered by the largest search engine, which will boost our restaurant's online reach. Accompanied by Stream's Menu and Order management functionality, our customers are taking back control of their offering and order experience."
Most restaurants today are on several 3rd-party delivery platforms. However, this unique integration gives restaurants another online channel to capture direct out-of-store orders without the major commissions and fees. Stream also provides all of the customer data back to the restaurants to help them convert these customers into lifetime customers.
From a consumer's perspective it's a simple and native experience. When they search one of our restaurant partners on Google or Google Maps, they'll see an accurate menu with prices, descriptions and photos, and can easily order and check out. Most often, a customer has their payment info saved on their phone or computer so the check out experience is instantaneous and live updates are sent via text.
